De ArgumentenFabriek

For several reasons, I reverted recent edits that added a description of the work of the company De ArgumentenFabriek:

  1. First, the prominent external links that were added in these edits make the added content appear to be an WP:ADVERT for the company. External links are prohibited in the article body per WP:EL.
  2. Second, the content of the addition is redundant: it repeats points made elsewhere in the article. For example, the point that argument mapping "can help to enhance the public debate about complex issues by visualising its structure" is already stated in the article lead, and the work of Robert E. Horn, who in the 1990s was already producing large-scale argument maps that aimed to aid public dialogue and debate, is already mentioned in the section on argument diagramming in the 20th century.
  3. Third, the image (File:Argument map arguments for and against the production of shale gas for EU member states.jpg) is not a good example of an argument map for this Wikipedia article, because the image is not strictly or purely an argument map; it has other elements and types of nodes that are not found in argument maps as described in this article. It is a hybrid graphic that would be more accurately called by some other name, e.g. infographic. De ArgumentenFabriek can call it an argument map if they like, but it's significantly different from argument maps as described in this article.
