Is it not Astrid rather than Aristid? ...and was he not Swedish rather than Hungarian? - Have not edited because I am not confident I recall correctly. It is Aristid, but the correct spelling of his family name is Lindenmeyer and not Lindenmayer —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.233.39.241 (talk) 16:45, August 21, 2007 (UTC)

No, he is definitely Hungarian, and the spelling of his forename is correct, and perhaps surname changes are due to transliteration (i.e. still correct to be Lindenmayer). Anyhow his paper "Algorithmic Beauty of Plants" spells it Aristid Lindenmayer. He died at rather an early age, such a shame really. Cheers Fyver528 (talk) 01:38, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
