External links noticeboard[edit]

I've posted at Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard#Mineral Museum Madness to get additional opinions on the inclusion/exclusion of the blog link that has been added, deleted, re-added, and re-deleted in the EL section of the article. --Orlady (talk) 16:47, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have replied in more detail at the noticeboard... but I think this is covered under WP:ELNO (#11). Essentially the issue is: does the author of the blog qualify as a "recognized authority"? Blueboar (talk) 18:01, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's gone[edit]

"On Saturday, April 30, 2011, the Arizona Historical Society fired the staff and closed the Arizona Mining & Mineral Museum. In addition, all the locks to the building were changed, and access to retrieve specimens and other artifacts on loan to the museum is now restricted by appointment only."
