It is reasonably well written.

The sentence "Apache Trail then steers away from the Salt River and passes through the town of Tortilla Flat." sounds awkward.

The sentence "The Apache Trail connected an area east of Phoenix as early as 1925, where it connected the Old Spanish Trail and Roosevelt Lake with an unpaved road, following much of the modern route." needs to be reworded.

"The SR 88 designation was received by the following year" sounds awkward.

Can the original eastern terminus of SR 88 be mentioned in the lead?

Looking at Google Maps, it appears SR 88 becomes paved again before it comes to its terminus at SR 188. Can this be mentioned in the route description?

"The section of the route east of Canyon Lake is part of the National Forest Scenic Byway system.", what is the name of this byway?

Date of construction[edit]

Road was not built in the twenty’s. It was built shortly after the turn of the century by the city of Mesa to facilitate movement of supplies and equipment for the construction of Roosevelt Dam. 71.209.180.9 (talk) 06:54, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
