Correct names[edit]

Yerevanci, if you create such an article, please be sure to be specific with the title. For instance, if you claim the survey was done in 1909, please change the article to something like Dialects of Armenian language (1909). I don't think the dialects were invented as soon as Armenian immigrants moved to Baku, Derbent or Shemakhi, for example. In other words, it is implied in the article that wherever an Armenian community started residing, the dialect emerged (???). Secondly, please do name the names of towns as per actual period you refer to. In 1909, when the towns were part of Russian Empire, Shusha was Shusha (In fact, it was never officially Shushi at any point in time), Ganja was Elisabethpol (not Gandzak), Yerevan was Erivan, Gavar was Novo-Bayazet. Bottem Armenian languages expand/collapse window - can it add a section with neighbouring countries who can understand Armenian because the language is similar or because the language is taught there?[edit]

Same section should exist in the neighboring countries. Something to be taken up in the wikipedia section for linguists or something. Anybody knows where those discussions take place? Cheers, SvenAERTS (talk) 08:18, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
