Brother Thomas[edit]

I've removed the statement that his brother was Sir Thomas Moore. Shaw's Knights of England shows only one Thomas Moore who was knighted around this time, and this source confirms that Sir Thomas Moore (1663–1735) was of a well-established Surrey family living at Sayes Court, and not the younger brother of a self-made Irishman. Given that both Thomases were born in the same decade, lived in the same county, and died in the same year, the misidentification is perhaps understandable.
