Citations[edit]

All citations now seem to be in place. My internet connection collapsed as I was adding them, so there is a bit of a mix up in the article history. Please elaborate on the talk page if anything still needs sources. Asav | Talk (Member of the OTRS Volunteer Response Team) 00:37, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, it looks better now. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:02, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please help... with the picture and adding the title. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr. Arthur Walters (talkcontribs) 21:12, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adding the title would be a violation of the Wikipedia Manual of Style. See WP:CREDENTIAL. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:16, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He is a Neurology doctor. Could I put MD after his name? What about the picture? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr. Arthur Walters (talkcontribs) 21:19, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Again, have a look at the manual of style (linked above). Academic titles are not included as a part of the person's name in the article lead; instead, the article can mention (as prose) which titles he had gained and where (with appropriate references). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 21:24, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • In addition, reading WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY and paying attention to it is probably called for. Editing an article on yourself is likely to call suspicion on the article, possibly leading to attempts to get it deleted. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:26, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As seen with my user email that is related to this ... I am Erica Brownlow. erica.brownlow@vanderbilt.edu — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr. Arthur Walters (talkcontribs) 21:32, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If that's true, then you are in violation of Wikipedia:Username policy. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:38, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To Whom It May Concern:

I am Erica Brownlow, Dr. Walters AA at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. For confirmation, my email address is erica.brownlow@vanderbilt.edu. Dr. Walters had a chance to look at the page and we have made the following corrections: 1. Reference 3 and 4 were out of order and these have been corrected 2. We have changed the previous reference of Georgia Association of Sleep Professional to a more appropriated reference to the Tennessee Department of Health. We have motified this reference so the link directly goes to the main page rather than Dr. Walters specific page because it can not be accessed directly. 3. We understand and accept that Walters can not be changed to Dr. Walters. Is it appropriate to change it to Arthur Walters instead of Walters? 4. We noticed that the picture on the page has been deleted and can you tell us the reason behind it? Would a different picture be more appropriate? 5. We would prefer to not list this page as autobiographical but if you insist, can you please tell us how to do that? Erica BrownlowDr. Arthur Walters (talk) 21:48, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: PS In addition if it is helpful, I can go into Wikipedia though my home email address and create a different user name that does not include Dr. Walters' name. Would this be acceptable? Thanks, Erica BrownlowDr. Arthur Walters (talk) 22:04, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
