Spammer wears out its welcome

Next stop is the Spam noticeboard. Not a nice final resting spot for websites or the IPs that just won't stop spamming the same promotional content and links to this article. Flowanda | Talk 04:15, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Incorrect Information

Contrary to popular opinion, Google does not penalize web sites that have duplicated content on it, but the advances in filtering techniques mean that duplicate content will rarely feature well in SERPS.

The above paragraph is out of date and should be updated to let people know that duplicate content and content farms are in fact given penalties and pushed down the SERPS, some times even removed. Here's a link to see more on the update for references http://search.searchengineland.com/search?w=farmer+update&submit.x=0&submit.y=0 If no one has any objection to me updating this information should I delete the about paragraph or simple add this below it?

I would also link to add to the end of the article that "Article spinning is a very poor way of making pointless content that often reads poorly and offers little value to its readers. Many SEO believe that article spinning should not be done and is classed as "black hat seo" due to the low level of quality. It is NOT recommended that article spinning is done by anyone that wants to keep top rankings on google as when found the articles will be devalued.

Thanks GSL-Nathan (talk) 09:34, 8 March 2011 (UTC) P.S. I'm an SEO professional myself and would never recommend anyone to do article spinning as it offer low quality content and IMO is NOT worth the waste of time!
