Most of the content for this article come from the Milt Josefsberg book. However, it is not a copy of the book, but only a summary in my own words. I don't know what an appropriate size should be for this individual. He was quite popular on the show, so I felt he warranted his own page, but I'm not aware of his having a significant career outside the Benny show.

Also, I've noticed that his character is spelled consistently as Kitzel, in Wikipedia and elsewhere on the net. However, many books seem to have spelled the character as Kitzle, including the book by Josefsberg and being a writer on the show it seems he would now. However, I decided to not rock the boat and kept it consistent with how it's spelled on the Jack Benny page BashBrannigan (talk) 04:22, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Artie Auerbach's wife is Cleo Manning. I have found newspaper articles referring to Lucille Ball's cousin as Cleo Manning Morgan. Both Cleo Manning's are actresses and both are contemporaries. I have firm references for all this. But, I have no direct confirmation that Auerbach was married to Lucille Ball's cousin. Can anyone confirm this? BashBrannigan (talk) 06:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC) I've found a correspondence in a fan club newsletter which seems to confirm. This was apparently his first wife. Refs given in article. BashBrannigan (talk) 19:40, 13 January 2010 (UTC) OOPS!! Mystery solved! But the solution is quite something! Found newspaper article which says Lucille Ball interceded to prevent the marriage because Cleo was not of age! BashBrannigan (talk) 19:58, 13 January 2010 (UTC) To followup again. I have two sources saying that they did marry at some point, but I would like to confirm it a bit more. BashBrannigan (talk) 09:16, 15 January 2010 (UTC) Desi Arnaz's biography is a second source confirming that Cleo Manning and Auerbach were married. BashBrannigan (talk) 21:22, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
