Unprecedented?[edit]

First of all, thank you to Outriggr for pushing me to make this page. I haven't seen any topics along these lines on Wikipedia before, (nothing like this for Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci or Rembrandt) so in some sense I'm making it up as I go along. Hopefully this page proves a valuable addition. Obviously this means that suggestions are welcome as to how this page could be improved! Thanks, Tkbrett (✉) 20:37, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind words; they especially mean a lot coming from someone like yourself. As a non-expert, I relied heavily on your books and the Tom Thomson Catalogue Raisonné while writing the Tom Thomson page and all of its related spin-offs. Do you have any particular recommendation on the sketch to canvas comparison? I picked Opulent October partly out of excitement in seeing the sketch in David Silcox's electronic book. I presumed that sketch was discovered sometime between 2011 and Silcox's book being published in 2015 given its absence from the Catalogue Raisonné. Tkbrett (✉) 22:47, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I switched it around to In the Northland and its associated sketch per your recommendation. It helps that this is also the comparison David Silcox uses in his electronic book.
