Questionable cause[edit]

This sensationalized novel commits the false attribution fallacy. The author blames David Reimer's suicide on girlhood. What about the suicide of Brian Reimer who was a boy? 2601:C4:C300:2890:9936:D611:8BF1:A109 (talk) 21:09, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How about the fact that he was forced to emulate sexual practices with his brother during childhood? 190.180.177.203 (talk) 00:24, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what the original poster is talking about. This book was written and published before David Reimers suicide, so the author doesn't attribute anything to Davids suicide, because the book was written when David was alive lol. So nonsensical. I understand that later in the kindle version a note was added that David Reimer had committed suicide, but there is no speculation in this book on suicides that had not yet happened. I wonder if the original poster even read the book. 08:49, 28 August 2023 (UTC)Chronicler87 (talk)
