Redlinks[edit]

I have removed the list of championships, which consisted of a list of redlinks to articles for which it is highly doubtful they will ever be created. The two championships that are linked (2007, 2008) are only stubs themselves, and are unreferenced - so the chances of being able to reference articles about the 1970 championships are in my view, very slim. Conflicting info[edit]

@Mohsen1248: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Asian_Weightlifting_Championships&oldid=1026117503 This edit says "those AG competition didn't counted as Asian Championships" yet in the bottom of the article, it states that "The weightlifting tournaments held during Asian Games are counted as Asian Weightlifting Championships of the corresponding year." This is obviously contradictory information and should be clarified. MowerBreeze (talk) 14:43, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what's problematic here, some editions of Asian Games were counted and they are listed in the page and some of them didn't counted and they are not in the list. Mohsen1248 (talk) 14:51, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that the article states that "The weightlifting tournaments held during Asian Games are counted as Asian Weightlifting Championships of the corresponding year" which implies that ALL Asian Games count as Asian Weightlifting Championships for that year. I made a small change in that line. Mohsen1248 (talk) 22:06, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that should clear it up MowerBreeze (talk) 03:10, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any reliable sources for that ? I wanted to create an article on French Wikipedia but found nothing. Also the 1971 edition is reported as the 1st edition in the sources... --Rashinseita (talk) 09:41, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I personally have no idea why some count, and some do not. Seems very inconsistent. MowerBreeze (talk) 04:35, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
