Gondola replaced original lift?[edit]

Not true. The original lift stood approximately where the current 1A lift is. The gondola is in a different location. For many years remnants of the original lift could be found in the yard of the (now-defunct?) Skiers Chalet restaurant just downhill from the lower terminus of the present 1A lift. References[edit]

GNIS and Peakbagger both point to a minor sub peak as Aspen Mountain, not the top of the ski area. Topo maps seem to indicate that the entire mountain is Aspen Mountain. Peakbagger has a separate listing for Tourtellotte Peak, that is closer to the top of the mountain. But on topo maps and GNIS that is actually Tourtellotte Park, a short lived mining community. This still needs to be sorted out. --Footwarrior (talk) 16:04, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
