Needs work[edit]

This article needs extensive work. Copying from Sorcerers.net isn't what is needed.

I recommend the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, the Lands of Intrigue Box set from 2nd Edition D&D (available as a free download on Wizards.com), and perhaps some information from the latest Player's Guide to Faerun.

Population[edit]

The population section is far off, at least relative to the Forgotten Realm Capaign Setting figures, which shows the highest population city in Faerun as 200,000, and Athkatla being in the 100,000s. 71.255.227.194

Done[edit]

I have extensively cleaned up this article and have removed its notice, it now carries a much more encyclopedic tone and is thus much more suited to Wikipedia. It still retains virtually all of the original information that was taken from sorcerers.net, though I have removed the irrelevant character allignments and levels as these are only particularily relevant to players of BG2, such details are inappropriate for Wikipedia. The article could obviously still use some more expansion in terms of information, a screenshot of the Athkatla map from BG2 aswell would, in my view complement the text well around the Overview section. -- D-Katana 23:21, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Looks better[edit]

I ran across it originally when pulling together information for a module I'm designing. There are a few maps of Amn - Athkatla itself has a few maps for it directly, one of which is non-color and in the Lands of Intrigue TSR supplement. The others are the one from BG2 and the drawn one on Sorcerers.net.

Athkatla itself is the capital of Amn, one of two port cities. I'd link it all together in an overall Amn entry. - Daniel (mcooper7470@charter.net)

Locations, people, and government[edit]

I've proposed a merge, because Waukeen's Promenade is nothing but a part of Athkatla, and therefore is best suited in the Athkatla article, with Waukeen's Promenade redirecting. Poulsen 11:32, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Temple of Talos[edit]

If I remember correctly there is a Temple of Talos in Baldur's Gate II located in the Temple district. As out of place as that may be, is it considered cannon? Avador 23:23, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
