Request to change title[edit]

Information to be edited: Change "Aerobics and Fitness Association of America" to "Athletics and Fitness Association of America" Explanation of issue: Organization name was changed in 2016. References supporting change: https://www.afaa.com/

The article has been updated with the new title. I also did not see a conflict of interest to the title change and I did not see this change as being controversial. This appears to be only a technical move. Adam MLIS (talk) 00:29, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

American Fitness[edit]

This organization might be directly connected to the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have been working on updating this AFAA page and I included the information for the journal/magazine called American Fitness. However, looking at the most recent journal publication information, the publisher shows: (Assessment Technologies Institute, LLC d/b/a National Academy of Sports Medicine). That is when I noticed both organizations are in the same geographical region in Arizona. Either NASM acquired the journal/magazine from AFAA or both organizations are somehow linked. Documenting this generally on both talk pages for reference. Adam MLIS (talk) 02:07, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
