Uhhh[edit]

Is it just me or was part of this article written by a 2nd grader? 206.174.27.238 (talk) 05:49, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know where to put this, but the airline was recently awarded United Express flying out of Chicago O'Hare and Washington Dulles airports for a total of 14 CRJ-200s. Flying commences In February 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.212.78.2 (talk) 00:28, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Location[edit]

The A-Tech is not in Hapeville. It's inside the city limits of College Park but on land owned by the City of Atlanta, and operated by the Atlanta Department of Aviation. V1 Rotate (talk) 15:22, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh! - http://www.flyasa.com/contact/index.php states that the A-Tech Center is at 990 Toffie Terrace - Yahoo Maps put it in an area bounded by Virginia Avenue, Hartsfield Drive, Toffie Terrace, and North Outer Loop Road. Norman Berry Drive extends north of this block - I thought this was the block where it was. But after looking at a Flickr photo and the sattelite image, I found that the HQ is immediately south of North Inner Loop Road and west of Toffie Terrace. Anyway, what I'll do is use the city which has the corporate limits. Thanks for pointing this out. WhisperToMe (talk) 23:48, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Clear to use that picture in the article. -airnos

CRJ-900[edit]

There was talk that ASA would be getting some 900's from Bombardier, but I have not seen one indication that they have actually acquired any. A reference would be nice so that independent verification is possible. The company's own news has not even stated anything about actually buying one. Also, Even if an order was placed for their first 900, that does not mean they actually 'acquired' it per se. They most certainly have not taken delivery of it yet. Anyone care to add primary source reference to clear this up because i cant find one. Foxphyre 11:36, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

redirect from Candler?[edit]

Why does the entry for "Candler" redirect to this page with no explanation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.145.89.245 (talk) 02:01, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to create a disambiguation page--this is my first attempt at a wiki edit. As a graduate of the school, I know that for a significant number of people, "Candler" does not evoke aviation so much as the gentleman for whom the call was named (and the many other things for which he was responsible). Clearly this needs a separate disambiguation page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.145.89.245 (talk) 01:42, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed all the see also links and made Candler a disambiguation instead of a redirect. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 23:08, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Candler was used as a call sign, which represents the airline. But making the disambig page was the right thing to do. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:55, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SureJet rebranding put on hold[edit]

"SureJet", the announced name for the combined airline (Atlantic Southeast & ExpressJet), has been "parked" due to overwhelming negative feedback from employees at both airlines. All brand announcement references & press releases have been removed from the public (flyasa.com) and employee websites. It is highly likely that another name will be selected. In either case, it is inappropriate to update this page with any new name until it is actually in use. "SureJet" was not to replace "Atlantic Southeast" or "ExpressJet" until a Single Operating Certificate is obtained from the FAA later this year.

Single Operating Certificate achieved[edit]

Apparently, this website http://atlanta.citybizlist.com/3/2011/11/18/Atlantic-Southeast-Airlines-ExpressJet-Airlines-Gain-Final-FAA-Approval-to-Operate-as-One.aspx states that ExpressJet and Atlantic Southeast have received a single operating certificate from the FAA. The airline is still operating under its own name until all flights are rebranded as "ExpressJet" (which will be December 31). The cessation operations date is December 31st not November 22nd.
