What's still missing[edit]

A section on model parameterizations, which is likely to focus on clouds and precipitation. References for each model individually listed. Thegreatdr (talk) 12:10, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from having no information on ensembles, how would this article be different from Numerical weather prediction? More detail on each major kind of model? Something else? Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 20:30, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm thinking about that myself, and would like some feedback about what more could be within this article to differentiate it from the NWP article. There is quite a bit of overlap, but that seems unavoidable. For now, there's talk of paramaterization on this page, and not the NWP article, though that could change during FAC depending upon what comments we receive there. This would be the page to elaborate on the guidance individually, though most of that should be on their respective subpages. We could elaborate more about which models use MOS here, since it does seem special to the NCEP guidance. It's the same predicament we're in between the weather and meteorology pages. Duplication[edit]

Back when the articles were written, that template was unknown, at least to me. And you can see we were wondering about the similarity of the two articles nine years ago.
