"Iran has claimed to have an AVLIS program, though it remains unknown whether this is actually true.". This is a curious way to put it, since the quite detailed reference provided in the article shows that Iran kept the program secret. Iran's AVLIS program at Lashkar Ab'ad is actually well documented, having been confirmed by IAEA after an Iranian dissident group revealed its existence. The Iranians however claim that it was dismantled in late 2002.
