Two games with the same name?[edit]

There seem to be two games by Jeff Minter called "Attack of the Mutant Camels". One is the horizontally scrolling game described in this article. The other is a sequel to Gridrunner. You can view screenshots for the games at http://www.lemon64.com. Mirror Vax 30 June 2005 04:24 (UTC)

Blame the publisher...[edit]

For some reason HES titled its release of Matrix (the Gridrunner game) "Attack of the Mutant Camels"... they apparently liked the name better. There's a reference to this on the page for it at http://www.digitpress.com as well as discussion of it at the Llamasoft message boards, http://www.yakyak.org. Pinball22 5 July 2005 16:10 (UTC)

Impossible to win?![edit]

The entry currently says "Since the camels continuously move towards your base, and new camels are added every time one is destroyed, the game will eventually end in defeat". I seem to remember there were a set number of camels in each wave, so it was technically possible to destroy them and get to the next level, and they just got better/faster at firing at you as the levels progressed. Surely Minter (of all people) wouldn't have designed a game that was impossible to win? --Thoughtcat 16:23, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
