Reason for reinstating redirect, but not restoring page history

The redirect I have made is the same as the one made by Minitrue about two years ago. I almost restored the entire (short) deleted history of this redirect, but I decided that I was more justified in being bold if I used only features available to new typical editors. I assume that the reason for deletion was not CSD G1 as stated, but the now superseded CSD R1 (At the time, CSD R1 said that "redirects to deleted pages and to nonexistent pages" were eligible for speedy deletion. At that time, the target of the redirect was being considered for deletion. It was later deleted and then rewritten.) I think this is a useful redirect to an interesting article.
