Second generation (8P) section[edit]

This section is quite unencyclopedic in style and excessively digressive. It also doesn't sit well with the previous section. And why give an unsourced future date for the model's end of life? Letdorf 10:58, 25 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

it also quotes two different 0-100km an hour times (well 60mph if your US) --60.224.133.149 06:18, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
anyone got an update to that speed? --58.161.112.75 10:38, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BHP[edit]

The Engine is capable of 265 bhp not 261 bhp as suggested, when the turbo boost is up to max output.

Perhaps you're getting your bhp and Pferdestärke mixed up? The official Audi figure is 265 PS.[1] Letdorf (talk) 17:58, 7 May 2009 (UTC).[reply]

No this was issue way back. On the official Audi site they say its 261 bhp and 265 PS but it is widely known it is capable of 265 BHP MAX from the 4 cylinder engine TFSI , trust me I have first hand evidence my friend bought a brand new s3 and had it run on a dyno and it produced just under 264 bhp, Audi say its 261 BHP because of some category rating reason or some marketing reason can't quite remember, just because the actual manufacturer of the car say their confident its something doesn’t always make them completely correct, I mean the s3 is known to do 0-60 in 5.5 or even under if the circumstances and environment is perfect, and that’s .2 under the time they say.

just look at the Mercedes slk55 AMG, Mercedes insist it does 0-100 kmh in a time of 4.9 seconds that’s just silly, I have seen videos of them doing 100 kmh in just over 4. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.211.37 (talk) 16:58, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Performance metrics for cars are never an exact science, and "first hand evidence" is, of course, original research. IMHO, it's better to stick to manufacturers' official nominal figures, as these best fulfil the requirements of reliable sources. Letdorf (talk) 21:53, 12 May 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Remove redirect and restore the page[edit]

Like Audi S2/Audi RS2, Audi S4/Audi RS4 and Audi S6/Audi RS6 and other 13 wikis [2], i will restore the separate page, who it was redirected to Audi A3 [3] without any motivation or consensus (as similar a vandalism) ten years ago, to this stable version [4]. If not opposing, will be next day/week with integration and update from other generation. 5.91.62.12 (talk) 09:25, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
