Introduction[edit]

A substantial part of this article, in terms of topics to cover, is based upon my work experience. I found this article did not yet exist when I tried to link to it from something else. It is far too late at night, and I shall have to dig up some articles for more specific references.

We need the full drawing for the Telecoil symbol. I can photograph this, but can someone please produce a version from the International Symbol for Deafness which I have included here? -- Robert of Ramsor (talk) 01:43, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The symbol shown is not the correct one for audio-frequency induction-loop systems. The correct one is shown in IEC 60118-4:2015, Annex C. This symbol id 'free to use', no copyright restriction. JMW1937 (talk) 20:08, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:International Symbol for Deafness.svg[edit]

The image File:International Symbol for Deafness.svg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --21:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See my edit of 'Introduction'. The use of the correct symbol eliminates the copyright issue. JMW1937 (talk) 20:11, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Slovenia entry and countries in general[edit]

Hi, I noticed that there has been a little back and forth on the new Slovenia entry. I, myself, think it is a good addition, but I also think that it probably belongs in either an "External links" section or a new "Usage by country" section. Thoughts? --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 11:32, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That is purely an external link, and quite spammy at that - WP is not a tourist guide website. This article should be primarily about the technology - it doesn't even yet have a proper explanation of how it works. Roger (talk) 11:39, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute on neutrality[edit]

This article appears to be be the work of several people who are neither hearing impaired themselves nor are competent to properly assess the Engineering issues related to Electromagnetic interference and applied electromagnetics.

This article also appears to mostly present the view of Ampetronic shilling for their products. Discpad (talk) 15:06, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Got any specific suggestions? --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 11:36, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The Ampetronic website is cited twice in terms of general technicalities. The company or brand itself is never mentioned - you're going to have to do a lot better than "I hate Ampetronic". I'm taking down the tag, it can only go back up if you can cite specific non-neutral statements in the article. Roger (talk) 14:26, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
