No A3D hardware acceleration and 4 speaker support within Windows XP, Vista 7?[edit]
AFAIK the Aureal Vortex based cards can only be used as basic analog Stereo I/O within modern OSes, since neither A3D hardware acceleration nor 4 speakers are supported by the drivers included in Windows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.83.56.38 (talk) 23:21, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- Possible. You need special non-windowsupdate driver version. I use 4 speakers every day with my AU8830 on Win2003. But A3D is very bugged. :( What a great technology was buried alive!
