I have added the list of Award winners following Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Australian Geographic Society Adventure Awards, I have NOT copied the Achievement text as I cant source that, nor have I copied the bio section, thats what wiki-links are for. This is unacceptable. This was a MERGER, not a DELETION. That content reflects many hours of effort, and is still being researched. The content is verifiable, as it includes many references. More references will be added shortly. The inclusion of the detail is the WHOLE POINT of the article. If I wanted a list, I wouldn't have wasted my time putting this together and simply made reference to a similar list available for the Australian Geographic Society. It is not up to you to have what you wan't - please read WP:V, this level of cruft is not acceptable, please read WP:BRD - you made the bold edit, I reverted it, we now reach consensus on it before it is re-added. Mtking (edits) 07:44, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For the final time, the Australian Geographic Society has a list of people on it's website of people who have won the award. With the exception of the last few years, there is no information on their website about why the award was bestowed. This is why I created the article.
The information I included is verifiable, and (if you had bothered to look) there were 38 cited references which was only growing before you took upon yourself to delete the content. This article is also still under development, and was marked as such. You had no right to delete any of the content given that the original page was closed under the pretence of a MERGER. As such, I will be reinstating the information shortly and reporting any further deletions of content on your behalf as vandalism. Consensus was reached to merge, not delete. To sight some policies for you as you kindly did for me, I strongly suggest you read WP:MERGE and WP:VAND. What you have done is constituted as illegitimate blanking, and will not be tolerated.Bezza84 (talk) 09:55, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is pure WP:FANCRUFT so has no place here. Mtking (edits) 08:08, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Bezza84 - a merger is not all inclusive. Not all content gets merged into the target articles. Mtking is right that the list of winners with their accomplishment is largely WP:FANCRUFT and should be included in the articles about the winners themselves if they have them. The lack of information about why the award was bestowed on the Australian Geographic Society's website is not a reason to have that information here. Wikipedia is not and indiscriminate source of information. Your list is also giving undue weight towards the award. As an aside, please quit calling Mtking's edits vandalism. Good faith edits are generally not considered vandalism.--v/r - TP 13:20, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

So we now have a table with details of achievements which have nothing to do with the journal. Then we have a long list of sub-sections with more details which have nothing to do with the journal. The article should only be about the magazine and not go off-topic. I propose the individual sub-sections be merged into the table, the table be made collapsible and it be set to hide. - Shiftchange (talk) 11:15, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
