Misc[edit]

I notice that the links to Victoria and ACT have been removed, after user Lacrimosus and others decided to remove them, no doubt for political gain.

Considering all websites were initially added in good faith, I hardly agree with the removal of certain websites, as this is not the nature of the informative article. There is no distinction between 'official' and 'unofficial' sites.

Lacrimosus seems to be abusing his/her rights. The article needs to be reverted to the last edit with all links included. -- Diarmaid 2 October 2006

No all links should be removed, because wikipedia is not a collection of links. C mon 12:36, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Despite the policy stating "There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to an article," this appears to be one way to solve the issue. Either all links exist for informative purposes and not for any one group's benefit over another, or none at all are provided. -- Diarmaid 13:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What's this "one group's benefit over another" business? Official state divisions get a link - unofficial groupings should be marked as such, and, if they are included, marked as unofficial. Slac speak up! 11:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

→→I agree. I will be at AYL and if Lacrimosus is there he will be confronted. DURABLE CHIMNEY 11:36, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good for you, chimney. I find Canberra bit chilly this time of year, so have fun. I honestly truly hope that while you're down there AYL has some better discussion topics then this article. Slac speak up! 11:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You know exactly what this "one group's benefit over another" business is, buddy, otherwise I'm sure you wouldn't be quite so opinionated about it. Canberra was actually nice mate, you would have enjoyed it ;) Diarmaid 12:05, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Canberra was much fun comrade. Pity you couldn't make the trip. Since you haven't even attended the last Conference of the page which seem so intent on having a moral authority over, you'll cease playing your factional games. Mate I'm in Unity too, but can see what you're doing s wrong. If we don't have a website, that's our bad luck. Terry Butcher went to Rome to see the Pope! Go Da Vinci Code style on my name and you'll know who I am. DURABLE CHIMNEY 10:01, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Knock it off, guys. Wikipedia is not a place for a factional pissing contest. Rebecca 10:32, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm taking this article off my watchlist. I don't really care what happens to it. Slac speak up! 01:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is wikipedia...im from Unity i think censorship of an opposing faction's website is pretty low and reflects the bullshit mind games that goes on in the ALP. Chimney is right, its our fault for not having a website.

Reads like an advertisement[edit]

Seriously, what is this. The government comes under attack for editing its own wikipedia entries, and this article looks like it's copied and pasted from a Labor campaign letter. It's even using pronouns such as 'our'! Show some control, especially since it's nearing election time. -- Permafrost 08:19, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

In line with the standards that ALP supporting Wiki Users have applied to the Young Liberals' Wiki Page, this section has been added to document any public criticism of Young Labor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.179.97.205 (talk) 08:17, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have previously deleted the "criticism" section of the Young Liberal page- so what are you going on about? Double standards, methinks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.200.198.152 (talk) 02:40, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

oh well, all parties do it?[edit]

A google search for "oh well, all parties do it"+"Peter Beattie" gave no entries other than this article, I'll give it a week, if theres no citation by then its going. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cruvers (talkcontribs) 16:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In fairness I did a second search, "all parties do it"+"Peter Beattie" in case it was a slight misquote, no such luck, same results. PS the obvious political motives in editing what should be a neutral encyclopedia is sickening. nigell k (talk) 16:12, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ALP and Coalition ideology[edit]

Do people think it's more precise to classify the ALP as social democratic, rather than center-left. By the same token do people think it's more precise to classify the Coalition as neoliberal, rather than center-right. If anyone has any input into this please see the discussion at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Australian_federal_election%2C_2007#Description_of_ALP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alans1977 (talkcontribs) 22:00, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not Enough Topics/Information and Old low-quality logo used.[edit]

This page needs to be edited to include the new Young Labor logo from the official website, and should be comparable in topics and information to other youth wing organisations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Axolotl edits (talkcontribs) 15:25, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
