Principal Venues[edit]

The Principal Venues section seems confused. Are the venues in suburbs, or for clubs? I know that Moorabbin Oval is in Moorabbin, not St Kilda, but then Melbourne Cricket Ground is not the home ground of the Jolimont football club. So what's the gig? Fair use rationale for Image:Vic-1989.gif[edit]

Image:Vic-1989.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Principal Venues edits[edit]

I've reverted the edits that added Windy Hill and Punt Road. The reason is that neither host AFL matches, and Punt Road hosts no matches at all. Windy Hill only hosts the odd VFL game and the local metro league finals. I also removed Victoria Park and Moorabbin for the same reason - Moorabbin is not used at all for anything, and Victoria Park was also deserted until a local team started playing there in 2009. Princes Park stays because it most recently hosted the VFL grand final and hosts all of Collingwood's VFL home games. Whitten Oval should stay for now because of the refresher work that is being done - it's status is unknown at present. AFL-Cool 07:11, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Victorian players in the AFL[edit]

Every Victorian who has played an AFL game is notable. The current contents of this list is sujective. The list should be removed. duffbeerforme (talk) 11:32, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I must dispute that first sentence, and why should the list be removed? Every article similar to this exists for each state and has such a section. Better to improve the list that remove it IMO. Footy Freak7 (talk) 12:03, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
