Fake records

Some egghead keeps inserting fake records for this film based on one non-English source.

This film is the biggest success in Surya's career but it is not a industry-level ATB. This is because, Surya is not a opener on the scale of Kamal, Rajini and Ajith.

Total life-time gross is around $8 million not $17 million.

Yeah true... Ayan made a profit of arounf 12 Crores... assuming the budget to be 8 Crores... the movie collected 20 Crores max. Here's the link - http://www.behindwoods.com/tamil-movies-slide-shows/movie-4/top-20-movies-2009/ayan.html Editinfo (talk) 16:25, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Ya thats true. In another sify news even they claim Ayan to have grossed only 35 crores and not 80 crores. See this link - http://sify.com/movies/tamil/fullstory.php?id=14882361&cid=14882712.html {{editprotected}} User:Geocraze (talk) 03:35, 14 august 2010 (UTC)

AVM sale to Sun TV

AVM was forced to sell Ayan at a loss to Sun TV. This is the truth. Please do not change budget figures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kollyfan (talkcontribs) 19:22, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep separate: If/when Ayan II is made, it will be a separate film, deserving a separate article. Of course, the two articles could usefully link to one another. --Stfg (talk) 16:43, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment Ayan II is up for deletion. If you think it can survive as its own article, please comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ayan II (and address any strong concerns raised there ASAP). DMacks (talk) 16:59, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Anthony Dass or Arumuga Dass

In the scene where Prabhu's character is at the police station, after the Andavan Aatam DVD fiasco, he is clearly shown signing as Anthony Dass in his letter to the inspector stating that he was not aware of the happenings at the internet cafe.
