I'm sorry, but in my humble opinion this is a silly question. What does an accent have to do with being Puerto Rican? She was born in Puerto Rico and therefore she is Puerto Rican. How many people in the United States have different accents? Don't you know that a New Yorker, a Southener and a Texan have different accents and that they are still Americans?
