This article needs a lead[edit]

This article would do well with a brief description of the subject in a lead paragraph. Malber (talk contribs game) 19:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Too many images[edit]

There are too many images for the size of the article. I would suggest putting just a couple on the page and put the rest in a gallery. --Cheesy Mike 11:58, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image moves and material removal[edit]

I've moved most of the images to a gallery at the bottom. I've also removed the R51/3 historical information from the BMW Historical Archives in Munich and the 1951 BMW motorcycles sales brochure for England — R51/3 description sections. It's unclear if this is free material. Some of it would probably be better as a cited source for original writing in the article. Malber (talk contribs game) 14:43, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good job! The gallery looks much better that what was there before. --Cheesy Mike 14:50, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
IMHO, the article, which I initiated, has been damaged without consultation and I am saddened by the result. The material was free material. Jeff dean 15:23, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
On the other hand, there are perhaps only about a dozen people on the planet who care about this article! Jeff dean 22:34, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The information is still in the history. I doubt that the sales brochure is free because it hasn't aged into the realm of public domain. The information from the historical archives might be under copyright unless they have a disclaimer that says that all material is public domain. But like I said before, this material would be good information to cite original writing. You may also want to have a look at WP:OWN. Malber (talk contribs game) 15:28, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
