Snakes on a Plane?[edit]

I believe that Snakes on a Plane easily qualifies as a modern B-movie. It was deliberately campy, cheesily violent, and had snake-o-vision, of all things. Although its budget was significantly higher than any B-movie could hope for, plus it had Samuel L. Jackson and that guy from Goodburger, it could be considered an...homage to B-movies, maybe. Just some thoughts -- Notostraca 19:27, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely right. I was thinking of adding a paragraph discussing Grindhouse and the contemporary homage to the B-movie. In its own way, Snakes on a Plane would fit in perfectly with that. If you'd like to write a little bit about it, that'd be great.—DCGeist 19:53, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clerks ?[edit]

I think the 1994 film Clerks fits in the category as well - it's ultra-low budget (total approx $20,000), and had the director of production (Scott Mosier) playing several roles in the film. I won't go into the cheese factor of the humour, or the fact that the script very neatly hides the fact that the interior shots were mostly filmed at night (when the store was closed). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.200.180.113 (talk) 00:25:02, August 19, 2007 (UTC)
