Sorry, but understanding a social situation is not unique to Japanese culture. It exists in any culture, as is evident from the fact that it has equivalent in English ("read between the lines", "read the room"). 空気を読む is merely the way you'd describe it in the Japanese language. In short, this expression doesn't merit an article in English Wikipedia. UncleMatt (talk) 09:05, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
