Derek[edit]

I want to add a sentence about Johnny Cymbal aka Derek reaching # 59 on the Hot 100 with his version of "Back Door Man", but, for some reason, the article is not open for any editing. Why?98.149.97.245 (talk) 15:47, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's a different song, with the writers listed as "Johnny Cymbal, George Tobin". There doesn't appear to be much has been written about it,[1] so it's unlikely that it meets the requirements for separate song articles. —Ojorojo (talk) 17:15, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics Differences in Doors Version[edit]

Some of the verses in the Doors’ version are different than the ones in what is presumably the original version. I haven’t been able to find any information on this (although didn’t do a deep deep dive).
