The Finish of the Main Event revisited[edit]

I've brought this up before and a consensus was reached. The finish was highly unusual, as it involved two men hitting their finishers, and a third man getting the pin. "Cena pinned Orton after a Spear from Edge" does not really even begin to describe what happened. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 16:40, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IMO, it seems to be covered now since the Event section goes into more details. TJ Spyke 22:28, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm apparently brain dead today, sorry. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 22:30, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OMG the end of the match was HBK hitting Cena with sweet chin music,i have proof http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oIp9qNHSTM watch that at the end of the clip HBK kicks Cena and Cena lands on Edge pinning Edge!!!!!!!!!! holy crud people —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.97.105.60 (talk) 01:57, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's Orton being pinned. Besides, YouTube is illegally hosting WWE content, thus making it unreliable. Anyway, Orton was down from a spear, so that is what should be noted; not the thing about Cena pinning Orton after Sweet Chin Music from Michaels? –LAX 02:04, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
HBK hitting the Superkick on Cena is listed in the event section. It does not need to be noted in the results. Sweet Chin Music had NOTHING whatsoever to do with Orton being pinned, Edge's Spear did. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:17, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Backlash (2007)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

  • "The event was the first pay-per-view (other than WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and the Royal Rumble) " - with that many exceptions, calling it the first is always going to be awkward.
  • Raw, Smackdown, etc. may need italics. Check their articles.
    • When referring to the brand itself, we do not italicize, but when we are talking about an edition of the show, it is italicized, and I went through the article and found no mistakes there. -- iMatthew T.C. 11:43, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • "to answer the ten count." - what's the ten count?
  • "the two fought up the entrance ramp, where, from there..." - a bit choppy, can you reword this.

Please leave me a note when done. Cheers, giggy (:O) 11:08, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CM Punk vs MVP[edit]

According to Matt Striker as of 2008, CM Punk beat MVP for the US Championship at this event. Shouldn't this be referenced somewhere? I thought it was hilariously awful retcon work. AndarielHalo (talk) 21:58, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Announcers sometimes mess up or misspeak. NN if Matt Striker said that (if he said it), and it has nothing to do with this event. TJ Spyke 22:36, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simplification[edit]

Several times in the article, fairly simple moves were being described in elaborate detail - such as Umaga's top-rope Splash and Melina's Inverted DDT. I feel this made the article difficult to read and frustrating for anyone that knows anything about wrestling. For anyone that doesn't, each move links to a description anyway. There may be more instances, as I just skimmed to find them. A check would be appreciated. Thanks. Tory88 (talk) 15:20, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
