I would appreciate if you wrote about the technology or method it uses (full backup, differential, where does it save the files, what does it do with shadow copies, etc.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.127.253.223 (talk) 07:04, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

I've been looking for information on the Windows 7 built-in backup processes, and discovered this article. Frankly, it's jumbled and incoherent for the most part. I would clean it up myself, but I have no better information on which to base such a rewrite. What is here, though, is shockingly unreadable by Wikipedia's standards. Windows Backup[edit]

I think its real name is Windows Backup. On Windows 7 you see the following messages: "Windows Backup has not been set up" "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer? Program name: Microsoft Windows Backup" "Windows Backup is starting" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.72.173.52 (talk) 08:34, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What you are referring to is SDCLT.exe. But anyway, as you can see in the screenshot, in Windows 7, it is called "Backup and Restore". No "Center" suffix. Fleet Command (talk) 03:38, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
