Hi Dormskirk
I work in the Communications department at Balfour Beatty. Have just amended the information around the Carillion merger - the previous version stated that Balfour Beatty rejected the third offer on 19 August. Have corrected to 20 August (please see press release here: http://www.balfourbeatty.com/index.asp?pageid=42&newsid=581&access=agree). Operations section
Hi Dormskirk. Listed below are changes that need to be made to the page following recent events. As editor of this wiki page, can you confirm you are comfortable with these changes before I proceed?
1) The Balfour Beatty page needs updating to reflect the sale of Parsons Brinckerhoff on 31 October 2014. The sections that need updating are: - Intro (reference to professional services) - Operations ('four businesses' should be amended to 'three', and 'Professional Services' should be deleted)
2) The reference to '80 countries' in the introduction is no longer accurate and should be removed following the Parson Brinckerhoff sale. 'South Africa' also needs to be deleted from this intro para.
3) Balfour Beatty now employs 38,000 people not 40,000 - the summary box needs amending.

Number of employees
Hi Dormskirk. Since my suggestions on 1 December, the number of employees has been amended to 36,000. Please see the Balfour Beatty website homepage for evidence of this change.
