Merge?[edit]

I don't think there needs to be separate article for Balmoral Beach. The information can be contained in this article. J Bar (talk) 12:53, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - The beach should have its own article. If anything, the locality (this article) should be merged into Mosman. --Merbabu (talk) 12:58, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But that goes against all the conventions of suburbs and locality articles. Localities in Sydney usually have their own articles but not all beaches do. Maroubra Beach, for example, which is a major surf beach is incorporated in the Maroubra, New South Wales article and that page points to it. Maroubra Junction, New South Wales has its own page though. Curl Curl Beach is another one that has recently been suggested for merge. J Bar (talk) 13:17, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge - Per conventions cited by J Bar, and as neither article is likely to grow to any great length. Camillus (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merged - 19 March, 2008[edit]

I don’t think there will be much more discussion on the merge so I’ve gone ahead and merged. I’ve brought over all the useful info but removed a bit of the peacock statements and hyperbole (largely from the now redirected article) and re-worded a few things. I also added a bit on recreation and provided a new structure of headings – both could do with some tweaking, but it is a start. --Merbabu (talk) 23:07, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Balmoral figs[edit]

I read on the BBC today of someone trying to cut down the "famous" fig trees on the coast in Balmoral. If they're that famous could they deserve a section on this page? Regards, 02:28, 12 May 2024 (UTC) Ridiculopathy (talk) 02:28, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
