I get the impression that this article is presenting something of a Unionist bias. Perhaps more could be done to present a more rounded view?

I assume you're talking about there being a lot more on the banners of Protestant organisations than Catholic ones. This just reflects the fact that I'm doing a PhD on the 12th of July celebrations and so I've got a lot of that info close to hand. I don't have time to go out and specifically research this stuff. Also, I don't think that really constitutes bias as such, just uneven coverage. If you're talking about something else, please say what it is as my mind reading skills aren't all that great. --Helenalex (talk) 09:12, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, thank you for your efforts with this article.
To tell you the truth, as a resident of Northern Ireland I wasn't aware there were Catholic banners. The marching season and associated banners. It's more accurate to say that banners are an Orange phenomenon, rather than something that's universally important to all people in Northern Ireland. --Jonathan Drain (talk) 09:13, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I've changed the opening sentence to reflect that the banners are primarily a Protestant thing. I still think they're significant, but if you want to change it to something else, go for it. I hope this illustrates the benefits of specifying your problem with a page rather than just tagging it without explanation. :) --Helenalex (talk) 09:27, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
