The Shopinas.com Clickers is not an expansion team -- think of it as the Pepsi->Talk 'N Text deal. So what should be done is to merge this article and Shopinas.com Clickers, then move Barako Bull PBA Team to Barako Bull Energy Boosters, with Barako Bull Energy Boosters (2000-2011) redirecting to Shopinas.com Clickers. –HTD 16:02, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. IMO, it's much like the Sta. Lucia -> Meralco sale. It can be considered as a new franchise. If this article will merge with Shopinas' article, it will look like Shopinas already had three PBA championships (all from RedBull). It is much better if we wait for an official announcement or recognition from the PBA or the Lina Group that Shopinas.com will absorbs the old Barako Bull lineage (previous championships, win-loss records, etc.). -WayKurat (talk) 16:47, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it's a good idea to wait, but all indications are pointing to the Pepsi->TNT route. Even the Shopinas executive (see one of the article references) reiterated that they are not an expansion team. –HTD 16:50, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. I have read the sources, I think they are referring to the draft picks and BB holdovers they have acquired, especially the one that B-Meg is claiming to have (draft rights to Mark Barroca which was traded by Purefoods to Redbull in 2008). This also happened to Meralco last year, when most of the Sta. Lucia players were absorbed by Meralco and some were traded to other teams during the 2010 draft, but they did not recognize the two previous championships Sta. Lucia won during their stay. -WayKurat (talk) 17:11, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"We’re not an expansion team. We’re an existing team". It's interesting how the Meralco-SLR sale went -- the definitive answer lies on the 2010 PBA Draft: if Meralco inherited SLR's picks (it seems murky). In any case, whatever happened Meralco-SLR sale may be immaterial in this case. Does the PBA annual credit SLR's records to Meralco? Would they accredit the old Barako Bull records to Shopinas? –HTD 17:19, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
