ticks or not?[edit]

Odd that ticks are emphasized in the section on epidemiology, while, in the preceding intro and "infection cycle" sections, the possible role of ticks as vectors is absent or played down.

List of Bartonella species updated[edit]

I have updated the list of Bartonella species based on the recent literature and from sequences deposited on GenBank. The link for the list of species is the following:

But now I am having a hard time trying to fix the formatting of the table entitled "Bartonella pathophysiology in humans" to avoid the gap in the middle of the page. Very human-centric[edit]

Bartonella in humans often comes from other small mammals e.g. voles and mice. There is high diversity of Bartonella species in Europe and North America. Could we at least add some non-human Bartonella paragraph? I would also suggest we take the thrust of the introduction away from humans, and discuss this bacterial infection in general.
