Aspirated plosives[edit]

Thus, Basel German, like Standard German, didn't complete the second (High German) sound shifting.

It is actually true - did not complete means didn't go all the way through. Basel German traditionally only has /pf/ /ts/ but not /kx/ hence it did not COMPLETE the 2nd sound shifting! Wathiik (talk) 12:57, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dialect of Basel-Country[edit]

Could the dialect of Basel-Country also be described as Basel German? Does it more closely resemble Baseldytsch than other Swiss dialects? These would be good questions to answer in this article. (I don't know the answers.) -- ℜob C. alias ⒶⓁⒶⓇⓄⒷ 19:34, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
