Article names[edit]

Given that this is now the railway station in Bathgate, would it not make more sense for this article to be moved to "Bathgate railway station", and the existing "Bathgate railway station" to be moved to something like "Bathgate (old) railway station", as that is no longer in use? If anything the 1849/1986 station should be renamed Bathgate (E&BR) railway station as in Bowling (L&D) railway station. --Stewart (talk | edits) 19:39, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
From the various other articles and templates there seems to be some confusion with Bathgate Upper. Simply south (talk) 19:57, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just checked out Butt (page 29). There are five entries for Bathgate:
  • Bathgate BRB - Op 24 March 1986
  • Bathgate E&G OP 12 November 1849 (E&B); RN Bathgate Upper 1 August 1865
  • Bathgate MkLnd OP 1856; RN Bathgate Lower 1 August 1865
  • Bathgate Lower NB RF Bathgate [Mklnd] 1 August 1865 Mklnd; CL 1 May 1930 L&NE
  • Bathgate Upper NB RF Bathgate [E&G] 1 August 1865 E&G; CL 9 January 1956 BTC
From this I would suggest that the 1986 station was a new station on that site, with Bathgate Upper being E&B - not B&CR and Bathgate Lower being Monklands. In conclusion, the 1986 station article is correctly named, however there are a few errors in it and the Bathgate Upper article, which I will fix. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:59, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
