For whatever reason, YouTube (and sites that are similar) videos aren't considered reliable sources. Standalone?[edit]

DC movies are not connected[edit]

Having Justice League and Wonder Woman in the proceeded by and followed is wrong. There is no connection to any of the films outside of the being DC. By this logic Constantine is connected to V for Vendetta or Batman Begins.76.241.88.186 (talk) 05:56, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

However, they are connected within the same series of films, if not by continuity. For the article's sake, it's best to show the readers which films were released in progression of the series since there is no continuity between them. Actually, wouldn't Batman Begins be in the preceded by space, and The Dark Knight in the followed by space? I mean, these are the movies that this cartoon is related to. And these cartoons tell the story of what happens between those movies. Cubzrule (talk) 22:49, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We would need a source for it, but having watched this movie last night, it's 100% in the "universe" of the Batman Begins and The Dark Knight films. Narrative-wise it's a bridge between the two films (art style/visual design differences aside). It's totally obvious, given that Gordon is clearly Gary Oldman's Gordon; Scarecrow is Cillian Murphy's version; Arkham and the Narrows from the film, with the "weaponized hallucinogen"; the various mobsters are named ones from the films; Lucious Fox and his relationship with Bruce are straight out of the new films; etc. rootology (T) 18:10, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

connections to franchise?[edit]

At one point, there were a number of rumors that one or more of these stories would be 'canonic' to the Nolan franchise, and would bridge the two movies. are there any current sources regarding that? I'm fairly sure that at one point i had read that the killer croc story would be the connection, but haven't seen hide nor hair about that in months. ThuranX (talk) 03:22, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No sources that I've seen, but this post by me above basically sums it up, having seen it last night. A viewer of Batman Begins and Gotham Knight (with a tiny bit of knowledge of the DC universe) would have to be oblivious to not see this as a cartoon sequel to Batman Begins that precedes Dark Knight (or a Dark Knight prequel)? :) Aside from the voice actors like Kevin Conroy and a nice homage in the first segment of Gotham Knight to the DCAU episode Legends of the Dark Knight there's no connection to the DCAU either. rootology (T) 18:13, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

why are the individual episodes on individual (really short pages once the cast lists are removed, and it's redundant since the cast is already here and no one is gonna go right to each segment anyway) pages instead of a merged area here like it used to be?

Indiscrepancies?[edit]

In Gotham Knight, Ramirez seems to be a stand-hard goodguy, while in The Dark Knight, it's revealed she's corrupt. Watching the movie this REALLY bothered and confused me. Also, it's worth mentioning that in The Dark Knight, no mention is made regarding The Scarecrow's hold on the homeless. Ramirez was corrupt in the movie because her mother's life was threatened. (At least, that's what she claims.) The Gotham Knight is not considered canon to the movie, however. --68.8.206.199 (talk) 15:14, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
