POWs[edit]

There was an edit made yesterday which updated the number of pro Assad POWs to 20. However it has since been reverted without good reason. here is the link to the article which shows the PoW number.http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/middle-east-live/2012/oct/15/syria-crisis-russia-denies-cluseter-bombs-live

Also casualty statistics in almost all other battle articles generally go downwards rather than along i.e. instead of 100 dead, 7 captured, it would be

100 dead

7 captured

Reason was given in the edit summary. Read it. The 20 captured were captured in Khan Sheikhun not Marat. Khan Sheikhun is 20 kilometers from Marat and is a separate battle for a separate town. Also, the casualty statistics are not generally downwards. Yes there are articles where you have downwards statistics, but you also have instances where its written just 100 dead, 7 captured. Its not a general thing. Its all based on how an editor feels on doing it. And is actually more based on spacing and how much info there is. If there is a lot of info its downwards, if there isn't it's not. EkoGraf (talk) 01:01, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name of Battle[edit]

"The city had already been captured once before by the rebels, on 10 June, but was recaptured by the military in August"

Shouldn't the battle be called Third Battle of Maarat al-Nu'man then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.67.173.39 (talk) 09:27, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
