Eight Nation Alliance[edit]

If only Russian forces were involved, Eight Nation Alliance does not belong in the combatants section, only the Russian flag icon is necessary.--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 21:47, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The information is completely false - the fortress surrendered at first to Russian General Tserpitsky (not Linevich) who marched along the railroad from Yingkou at Sept. 27, 1900. But the Chinese General (not from Muslim Generals of China - he was a General with 7 ying of troops sent by Febgtian Governor Zeng Qi) managed to surrendered the second time - he waited for Russians who were stuck in the problems with the railroad and he surrendered the second time to the Commander of an English Naval Squad at October 2, 1900, when English men-of-war moved close to Shanghaiguan. The Commander sent a group of marines to hoist the flag in the fortress but at that time Russian soldiers of General Tserpitsky rushed into the town on the train and histed Russian flag at first. No battle took place at all and no paddle steamers in Russian Navy at that time too!!!83.167.112.11 (talk) 15:23, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing as a British ship destroyed a section of the great wall, and that it was Britian who occupied the city, i would really like to see some evidence that Russian marines actually took the fort, there was no way they would have let britian occupy it if they got there first.Дунгане (talk) 06:29, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
