Objection to Deletion[edit]

The deletion has been proposed due to the supposed lack of independent material on this subject, the evidence being based on an English language search of the English title which found no matches.

However the article clearly states that it is a translation from German Wikipedia, including the title of the Society, so an English search on the English title is unlikely to find anything. However, if a similar German language search is conducted using the German title ("Bayerische Localbahnverein"), many articles will be located. For example, a search on google.de found well over 100 references to this society.

Well it took me two attempts to get the references to display (!), but I have now added some independent sources both from the web and from the 2008 Handbook of German Museum Railways. Is this the kind of thing you're looking for? --Bermicourt (talk) 09:10, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

wrong picture[edit]

The picture titled "70 083 at Landshut Hauptbahnhof" doesn't show loco 70 083, but the Austrian 638 1301, a former P8 loco. Landshut station is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michhof (talkcontribs) 16:13, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. I've changed the image to one of the real 70 083.Bermicourt (talk) 14:20, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

more information to be added?[edit]

Is there an interest in increasing information in this English article about the BLV?

Please state "yes" or "no". Depending on the feedback I could put more information from the German Wiki to this entry...

Yes please. That would be good. Please reference it if you can. Bermicourt (talk) 14:20, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
