Florida State Road 212 → Beach Boulevard (Jacksonville, Florida) — Beach Boulevard is the common name for the road. SR 212 is the road's unsigned highway number and is only used internally as a reference for the Florida Department of Transportation. –Dream out loud (talk) 13:12, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - Beach Boulevard/FL 212 itself is also part of U.S. Route 90. If there was a U.S. Route 90 in Florida article, I would say merge this article there, but since there isn't, this article may have to be left alone. As for the renaming, I could go either way as this article only needs to exist until it can eventually be incorporated in a U.S. Route 90 in Florida article. Name[edit]

I recently merged the histories of two duplicated articles, Beach Boulevard (Jacksonville) and Beach Boulevard (Jacksonville, Florida). I placed the merged article at the former name because the "Florida" in the parenthetical is unnecessary for disambiguation. There's no ambiguous article for any other city named Jacksonville. The simpler form adequately distinguishes it from the other Beach Boulevards.--Cúchullain ^t/c 20:17, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked up other Jacksonvilles to see whether a "Beach Boulevard" could exist in any of them. The only place where some street could be renamed Beach Boulevard is Jacksonville, North Carolina. But that issue is neither here nor there. The current issue is whether to merge this with U.S. Route 90 in Florida, or downgrade it to Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Streets. -------User:DanTD (talk) 13:02, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
