To-Do: translation from the Hebrew?[edit]

At present, there's a good deal of content on the novel's Hebrew Wikipedia page. However, the plot summary has a spoiler warning, so I don't want to read it yet. I'm posting a note on the Talk page there, soliciting a translation to English. -- Deborahjay (talk) 22:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliographic citations for the several print editions[edit]

Since I created the page, the Library of Congress online catalog has been accessible, hence my inability to provide complete entries at this time. -- Deborahjay (talk) 23:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

British vs. U.S. English-language editions[edit]

Having obtained what I only later discovered to be a British edition of this book, I had to suppose that it was a British editor responsible for words like bloke, mate, high street, [potato] crisps—which had initially surprised me, coming from an American-Israeli translator. I can only confirm this (and intend to) by personal research, though this would not be permitted for inclusion on the page. Perhaps someone will expand on this point by finding and quoting a published review or other citable source. -- Deborahjay (talk) 00:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
