Correction[edit]

I've messed up the local government section. That by 70.21.194.192 was correct. Mikereichold 12:29, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bedminster Township, New JerseyBedminster, New Jersey

  • Common name is Bedminster. Township is rarely, if ever, added in normal usage. Vegaswikian (talk) 03:00, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Bordentown and Bordentown Township are two different places, as are Boonton and Boonton Township. Not sure why it's asserted that "Township" is rarely used in NJ. Station1 (talk) 05:53, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

@Vegaswikian Except for the people who live in the area and refer to it as a Township. Stevenmitchell (talk) 06:40, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Article Misleading and Incomplete[edit]

Why is this article so misleading and incomplete? There's no mention of the Vance family. Cyrus Vance was a Secretary of State, for example. Before all of the low-income housing was added to Bedminster, it was one of most prestigious and powerful communities in the US. Aside from its historic importance to the American Revolution, it was also historically important in the 1800s and 1900s, and was considered central to the selection of George Bush as Ronald Reagan's VP. Donald Trump is probably one of its least historically important people, and only selected the location for his club because of its stature as an Old Money community for which Trump was desperately trying to get accepted by. Where's the rest of the article? Stevenmitchell (talk) 06:53, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
