Health Belief Model/Health Action Model[edit]

Im currently studying public health as a module at uni. I dont know how to fix it as I dont know enough about the topics - I'm just learning - but I think the Health Belief Model is a totally separate theory from the Health Action Model, not interchangable as stated here...

Page confuses Theories of Behavior Change with Theories of Behavior Explanation[edit]

This page does not distinguish Theories of Behavior Change from Theories of Behavior Explanation. For example, the TPB doesn't provide any methods for behavior change; it describes relevant determinants, but doesn't explain how to change these. This distinction is important, as the current page implies that one can succesfully develop an intervention using, for example, only the TPB, which would result in an ineffective intervention (as no guidance as to how to influence the relevant determinants is provided).

I am new here and not sure how this works - so I'll just wait to see what people say in response to this post, and if nobody reacts, I assume it's ok to split the article :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matherion (talkcontribs) 13:56, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
