"Naken"[edit]

{{Contradict}} tag: Naken in the "Marriage" para is given an opposite definition the para below. Can anyone identify which is correct? --Old Moonraker 07:43, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Improve the lead?[edit]

The second sentence of the lead presently reads: "The general public knew little about Belle Stewart until 2006, when her daughter, Sheila Stewart, wrote the biography Queen Amang the Heather: the Life of Belle Stewart". The general public probably knows little about most "folk" musicians - they are a niche corner of the music world. Considering "The Stewarts of Blair" came out on the premier folk label of the day (Topic) in 1965 and was later followed by 2 further albums on that label, I would have thought she was fairly well known at least in that genre. I think the present lead does her somewhat of a disservice and could be adjusted accordingly... I may have a go at some point but others are welcome to leap in. I found this at https://www.electricscotland.com/poetry/henderson/singalong/page119.htm : "The Stewarts of Blair, became well-known performers on the folk scene and performed all over Europe and the United States. In recognition of her contribution to folk music, Belle Stewart was awarded the British Empire Medal." Does not really fit the "little known" statement at all, unless you apply it to all folk musicians :) Cheers Tony Tony 1212 (talk) 06:26, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
